Homestead Bayfront Park
This family-friendly beachfront park is located in Homestead, in the heart of South Dade. Homestead Bayfront Park includes a beach, a shallow swimming area in an atoll pool, a restaurant and a full-service marina. The park is a popular launch point for explorations of nearby Biscayne National Park. Visit to soak up some sun on the beach, splash and swim in the water, go fishing or start a boating adventure.
Park Amenities and Activities
Bring some food and enjoy a barbecue near the beach at the park’s pavilions, which are equipped with grills and picnic tables. If you want to leave the cooking in someone else’s hands, dine at La Playa Grill. Located in the park, this is a family-friendly spot with indoor and outdoor dining and sweeping views of Biscayne Bay.
The park’s beach is a popular place for swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing. You’ll notice the iconic colorful lifeguard stands, one of which was painted by the Brazilian-American Neo-Pop artist and Miami local, Romero Britto. The shallow atoll tidal pool provides fun wading and snorkeling opportunities. You may even see a mullet or mangrove snapper.
Herbert Hoover Marina is the park’s full-service marina, with boat launch ramps, a tackle shop, gas and diesel fuel, outdoor showers and more. The marina can accommodate vessels up to 50 feet long.
Fishing enthusiasts can cast off while enjoying beautiful views of Biscayne Bay from the park’s fishing pier.
