Situated off the 79th Street Causeway in the middle of Biscayne Bay, Pelican Harbor Marina and Pelican Island is a unique departure point for a boating adventure. You can easily cruise the Intracoastal Waterway and access the open ocean via Haulover Inlet or Government Cut aboard a charter. Situated just a few hundred yards from the marina, Pelican Island is a bird sanctuary and nature preserve easily accessible by boat, kayak or standup paddleboard. You’ll spy pelicans, cormorants and marine life like dolphins, if you’re lucky! Go for a refreshing swim in the bay, play a game of volleyball on the island’s sandy court or even enjoy a picnic using the onsite barbecues.
Pelican Harbor Marina located in the Miami Shores area, is a marina with great access to the intracoastal waterway, the perfect place to take-off for the day on the water and cruise around the Haulover Inlet or Government Cut. Pelican Island is a natural preserve and bird sanctuary on a ten acre island with barbeque pits, picnic tables, sand volleyball and wetslips for boats.
