The artistic spirit that filled the Wynwood neighborhood with art galleries, street art, and hip bars and restaurants has extended west to Allapattah.
Allapattah has long been home to a melting pot of residents from Central America and the Caribbean.
Today, some of the biggest names in Miami’s art world have planted their flags in Allapattah, including the Rubell Museum and Jorge Perez’s El Espacio 23. Allapattah is also home to Superblue, a popular interactive art space with a labyrinth of mirrors, light displays and digital art.
With Allapattah’s new art offerings comes a host of new bars and restaurants, including trendy Hometown Barbecue, a transplant from Brooklyn with a cult following for its expertly smoked brisket and recognized by the MICHELIN Guide.
Club Tipico Dominicano is a longtime Allapattah landmark featuring Dominican staples such as stewed oxtail and chicken tamales, plus house party vibes with live music that goes late into the night.
