Experience the art of spontaneity through movement, film and creative expression at this international celebration of improvisational talent. The 305 International Improv Fest 2025 will take place on Saturday, April 5 at Inkub8 in Little Haiti.
Directed by choreographer Alexey Taran and filmmaker Carla Forte, this event is part of a two-week festival spanning Miami and San Jose, Costa Rica. The festival presents a carefully curated program featuring performances that explore the depths of improvisational art, bringing together performing artists, filmmakers, musicians and audiences.
This year's festival includes special masterclasses, including Improvisation and Video Art: The Female Body as Resistance led by Brazilian artist Marcia Beatriz Granero, who will share her 15-year creative journey through her artistic persona, Jaque Jolene. Another workshop by Luis A. Lara Malvacías will guide participants through movement exercises focused on improvisation, awareness and creative risk-taking.
The event is part of Miami-Dade County Auditorium's Away From Home Series, an initiative that continues to present performing arts programming at alternative venues during the auditorium's renovation period.
