Internationally acclaimed author Colum McCann, will visit Books & Books to discuss his latest work, Twist: A Novel. Scheduled for Friday, April 4, this event is presented by the Books & Books Literary Foundation, the Consulate General of Ireland in Miami and Miami Book Fair.
Twist delves into the hidden world of underwater fiber-optic cables, weaving a narrative of connection, disconnection, and the fragile ties that bind us. The story follows Irish journalist Anthony Fennell as he investigates the labor and technology behind the global flow of information, encountering a freediving engineer, a South African actress, and others whose lives intersect in unexpected ways.
Colum McCann is a renowned author and winner of the National Book Award for his novel Let the Great World Spin. His other works include the bestselling Apeirogon, TransAtlantic, and Dancer, as well as three short story collections and nonfiction titles such as Letters to a Young Writer. McCann is a regular contributor to The New York Times and co-founder of Narrative 4, a global nonprofit that uses storytelling to foster community and drive social change. Residing in New York City, he continues to be celebrated as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary literature.
Tickets are required and include a copy of Twist. Each ticket admits up to two guests, with books distributed upon entry.
