Artists and Scientists in Dialogue for a Sustainable Future
Apr 22, 2025
From: 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Discover the intersection of art and science as creators and researchers come together to tackle urgent environmental challenges. Artists and scientists will engage in a thought-provoking panel discussion examining ecological issues highlighted in the current exhibition, Mark Dion and Alexis Rockman: Journey to Nature's Underworld. The Earth Day Event: Artists and Scientists in Dialogue for a Sustainable Future takes place Tuesday, April 22 at the Lowe Art Museum at The University of Miami.
This collaborative program brings together experts from UM's Abess Center for Ecosystem Science and Policy alongside Miami-based eco-critical artists for an illuminating conversation on environmental conservation. Following the panel, dancers from the University of Miami's Frost School of Music Department of Vocal Performance Dance Program will present a special performance inspired by the themes explored throughout the evening.
