Baila Little Havana

Discover the rhythms of Cuba through movement with Baila Little Havana, a weekly dance class held on Tuesday and Thursdays at The Koubek Center at 7:00 p.m. Led by dancer and master instructor Marisol Blanco, this weekly Afro-Cuban dance class offers an immersive journey into the rich heritage of Cuban folklore and culture. Participants will explore traditional ballroom dances like danzón, mambo, cha cha chá, pilón, mozambique, son and the casino, as well as the diverse Afro-Cuban dances, including rumba and various ethnic and African traditions such as Yoruba, Aará, Bantú and Haitian. Each session delves into the history, songs, steps and beats that comprise the world of Cuban dance.
