Rising pianist Angeline Ma brings her artistry to an evening of masterworks from the Romantic era. Chopin for All: Angeline Ma takes place on Sunday, March 30 at the historic Granada Church in Coral Gables, presented by the Chopin Foundation of the United States.
This free concert features Ma, the 4th Prize Winner of the 11th National Chopin Piano Competition, as part of the competition's 50th Anniversary Celebration. The 22-year-old Philadelphia-based pianist studies at Northwestern University as a Betty van Gorkom Music Scholarship recipient and has already earned numerous accolades, including 1st Prize Young Artist at the 2024 MTNA Competition and the PianoTexas Concerto Competition.
The evening's program showcases Brahms' 7 Fantasies, Op. 116, alongside several Chopin masterpieces: Ballade No. 2 in F Major, Andante Spianato and Grande Polonaise Brillante, Polonaise-Fantaisie, and the second half of his Preludes, Op. 28.
While admission is free with general seating on a first-come, first-served basis, registration is recommended to secure a seat. The intimate setting and excellent acoustics of Granada Church provide an ideal environment for experiencing this performance, with complimentary parking available in the church lot and additional street parking nearby.
