This event has passed.
Celebrate International Transgender Visibility Day with a groundbreaking local film examining personal truth and family expectations. Clocked screens on Monday, March 31 at Coral Gables Art Cinema, featuring an introduction by director Noah Salzman.
This emotionally charged debut feature follows Adolfo Rivera (portrayed by Germain Arroyo), an undefeated 18-year-old boxer from a conservative Catholic family in Miami. While Adolfo's boxing talents help support the family financially, their true aspirations differ dramatically from family expectations. Behind the scenes, Adolfo secretly saves their winnings to fund their transition journey, finding refuge and community in Miami's drag scene.
Director Noah Salzman, an award-winning Florida-based filmmaker with over a decade of experience, brings his connection to Miami into this character-driven narrative. Clocked has received significant recognition across the festival circuit, winning multiple awards including "Best Humanitarian Feature" at Sedona International Film Festival, "Best Narrative Feature Audience Award" at Tallahassee Film Festival and "Golden Conch Best Florida Feature" at Key West Film Festival.
