Immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Andalucía at Teatro Avante's presentation of Homenaje a los Álvarez Quintero (Tribute to the Álvarez Quintero Brothers), honoring two of Spain's most celebrated playwrights. As part of the 38th International Hispanic Theater Festival of Miami, this production is slated to run from July 19-21 at the Adrienne Arsht Center.
Directed by Alfonso Sánchez, this theatrical tribute by MundoFicción Producciones from Seville, Spain, celebrates the 150th anniversary of Serafín (1871-1938) and Joaquín Álvarez Quintero (1873-1944). The performance features some of the brothers’ most iconic works, known for their lighthearted portrayal of Andalusian life. The play offers an idealized and humorous glimpse into the region, filled with the brothers’ signature rhythmic dialogue and captivating characters.
