On Friday, April 4, 2025, Rockin' Rachmaninoff will take center stage at Newman Recital Hall at the Knight Center for Innovation as part of the Frost School of Music’s Signature Series. Pianists Ana Ivanchenko and Santiago Rodriguez will perform Rachmaninoff’s Two-Piano Suites, along with a two-piano arrangement of his Prelude in C-sharp minor, known as The Bells of Moscow, and the famous Polka. This special concert will also include multimedia elements, adding a unique dimension to the performance.
Moldovan-born pianist Ana Ivanchenko has earned acclaim for her performances across North America and Europe, with appearances in prestigious venues such as the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and the Great Hall of the Liszt Academy of Music in Hungary. She has performed with numerous orchestras, including the National Philharmonic of Moldova, and has won top prizes in more than 20 international competitions. Ivanchenko is currently on the faculty at the Frost School of Music, where she teaches piano performance.
Santiago Rodriguez, Chair of the Keyboard Performance department at the Frost School of Music, is an internationally renowned pianist. He has performed with leading orchestras worldwide, including the London Symphony and the Philadelphia Orchestra, and has graced stages such as Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. Recognized as one of the finest pianists in the world, Rodriguez’s career spans over 35 years, and his dynamic performances have garnered praise from critics across the globe.
