Explore the intersection of visual arts and Cuban politics at The Art of Propaganda on Thursday, September 26, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Roberto C. Goizueta Pavilion at the Cuban Heritage Collection. This exhibition delves into the history of Cuban poster art and political satire, highlighting their roles as tools for communication and influence. The opening reception will feature a conversation with Lincoln Cushing, an archivist, artist and author, and Ariana Hernández-Reguant, Ph.D., a research associate from Florida International University’s Department of Global and Sociocultural Studies. The discussion will be moderated by Elizabeth Cerejido, Ph.D., curator for Cuban Collections at the Cuban Heritage Collection.
