Explore groundbreaking perspectives on contemporary art at The Open Invitational, a satellite fair debuting during Miami Art Week from December 2–9 at the Palm Court Event Space in the Miami Design District. This innovative fair is dedicated to showcasing the work of artists with disabilities, aiming to build their careers while challenging traditional hierarchies in the art world.
The event features a curated lineup of progressive art studios from across the country, including:
- 2bnonprofit (Miami)
- Artech Collective (New York)
- Arts of Life (Chicago)
- Center for Creative Works (Philadelphia)
- Creative Growth (Oakland)
- Community Access Art Collective (New York)
- LAND Gallery (New York)
- The Living Museum (New York)
- Progressive Art Studio Collective (Detroit)
- Studio Route 29 (Frenchtown, NJ)
- Vinfen's Gateway Arts (Boston)
Guided by openness, The Open Invitational seeks to broaden public awareness of progressive art studios and to share their works with collectors and institutions. Visitors can engage with diverse artistic practices that challenge conventional narratives and celebrate inclusivity. Founded by gallerist David Fierman and arts patron Ross McCalla of The Outsider Institute, the event is generously supported by Craig Robins and the Miami Design District.
