Outdoor Activities

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Pinecrest Gardens is one of the most significant cultural and ecological assets in South Florida. The 12.5-acre site is home to one of the most diverse desert gardens in Florida and includes over 1,000 varieties of rare and exotic tropical plants and palm trees. It is the only natural rain forest on American Soil.

Amenities at the Gardens include lush and exotic botanical gardens, children's recreational facilities including Splash 'N Play-a water amusement feature, a petting zoo, a 500 seat amphitheater hosting more than 50 performances of dance, music and theater each year, an art gallery and several indoor and outdoor venues for events, festivals and gatherings.

The recently renovated Banyan Bowl is a 500-seat outdoor amphitheater nestled under a geodesic dome, and its stage is host to jazz and other music concerts, theater, and dance performances, movies for children, art exhibits and many other family friendly activities.

Truly a one-of-a-kind facility that should be a part of any ecological, cultural or historical tour.

Open daily 9 a.m.-6 p.m in the summer months and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in the winter. Adults $5, children (2-17) $5, children under 2 free. Evening events are priced on a per event basis.
