If you’ve come to Greater Miami & Miami Beach to shop, a treasure trove of both luxury and budget-friendly shopping experiences awaits you. These must-shop destinations also offer fabulous dining, entertainment and cultural activities. There’s plenty to tempt the shopper in all of us. South Beach is an ideal destination for al fresco shopping, and there’s no shopping street more iconic than Lincoln Road. This pedestrian mall is lined with shops, art galleries and cafes and is perfect for people-watching. You’ll find everything from an Apple Store to Lululemon and H&M here as well as a Regal Cinema.
Española Way is a two-block pedestrian corridor a few blocks south of Lincoln Road. It’s modeled after the Old World seaside villages of Spain and France, with twinkling string lights overhead and Mediterranean Revival architecture. Here, you’ll find local shops, such as Española Cigars, alongside a variety of restaurants, including the Tropezon tapas bar, which is part of the hip Esmé Hotel.
Since 1965, Bal Harbour Shops has garnered its reputation as a chic outdoor shopping center. It’s located in Bal Harbour, just north of Miami Beach. Anchored by Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus and landscaped with lush palms, limestone walkways, koi ponds and art installations, it’s home to every designer flagship under the sun, from Chanel to Prada, Valentino, Gucci, Van Cleef & Arpels and more. The French bistro Le Zoo or the upscale sushi spot Makoto make for the perfect place to refuel over lunch.
Home to more than 300 retailers, Aventura Mall is the largest mall in Florida and the centerpiece of the Aventura neighborhood. It offers major department stores, such as Bloomingdales, Nordstrom and Macy’s. You’ll also find luxury boutiques, such as Fendi, Balenciaga and Tiffany and Co., alongside more affordable options J. Crew, Urban Outfitters and Zara. Aventura Mall is particularly family-friendly, with an AMC Movie Theatre with IMAX, an interactive playground and a massive 93-foot-tall glass and steel slide tower. When it comes to dining, choose from over 50 eateries and restaurants conveniently located in the mall, such as Serafina Miami and Treats Food Hall, with plenty of locally grown fast-casual options.
The Miami Design District has swiftly morphed into a prime luxury shopping destination where major designer flagships, such as Céline, Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutin and Hermès, are found amid dazzling contemporary architecture, public art installations and galleries. Stop by the area’s original lunchtime hot spot, Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink, or try the Korean barbecue at MICHELIN-starred COTE.
Overlooking beautiful Biscayne Bay and surrounded by the dramatic Downtown Miami cityscape, Bayside Marketplace blends shopping with pleasure. Here, you’ll find a blend of Bayside-branded gift shops, independent boutiques and familiar brands in an inviting open-air atmosphere. Bayside is also home to the Thriller Miami Speedboat Adventures, Island Queen Cruises and Tours and the Skyviews Miami observation wheel. When tummies grumble, take a break at Rolly's Bistro, Hard Rock Cafe or Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
As the name implies, Brickell City Centre is situated in the heart of the Brickell Financial District. Anchored by Saks Fifth Avenue, this modern outdoor shopping center is home to a wide variety of retailers, from Diptyque and Sur La Table to Cole Haan and Giuseppe Zanotti. There’s also a CMX luxury movie theater and ample dining options. Check out Pubbelly Sushi, The Henry or the upscale South American eatery Quinto, located at the on-site EAST Miami hotel.
CityPlace Doral is a wonderful outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment complex with a spectacular show fountain and retailers, such as Ella Boutique, Aviva and Tarbay. When you plan an outing at CityPlace Doral, your day might include bowling at Kings Dining & Entertainment, movies at CinéBistro or a standup comedy show at Miami Improv. You’ll also find great restaurants, like Copper Blues Rock Bar & Kitchen and Novecento.
At more than 1.4 million square feet, Dadeland Mall is a massive shopping center in Kendall that feels a bit like a city unto itself.
