The numbers tell a compelling story. More than 260 restaurants across more than 20 neighborhoods in Greater Miami & Miami Beach will showcase their best dishes for 61 days, making Miami Spice Restaurant Months one of the largest food events in the nation. Throughout August and September, diners can savor a three-course Miami Spice menu at participating restaurants for a fixed price. Brunch and lunch are $30 or $35, and dinner is $45 or $60. From MICHELIN-rated establishments to sustainably certified venues and hidden treasures, use this list to guide you as you embark on a culinary journey through some of this year’s best Miami Spice dining experiences.
Play-by-day or play-by-night, the choices are boundless at Playa Miami on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach, where the Mediterranean-inspired cuisine has a Southern twist. Lounge outdoors in a lush oasis and linger over sumptuous Miami Spice brunch offerings, including shrimp & grits and the sweet churro waffle. For lunch, enjoy the delicate flavors of the grilled octopus, while dinner tempts with a 10-ounce strip steak complemented by Playa steak sauce, truffle fries and a side of entertainment. At night, the entire space transforms into Playa After Dark – a dynamic “clubstaurant” merging fine dining with a nightclub ambiance, complete with occasional celebrity sightings.
Two Argentinian sommeliers had a vision – fine wine and great empanadas – and founded Bunbury, an eclectic spot in Downtown Miami. It’s named after an imaginary Oscar Wilde character. Sunday brunch features Grandma’s spinach buñuelos and the Bunbury Benedict with beef Milanesa, poached eggs and tomato confit. For lunch, try the choripan – a grilled chorizo sandwich on crusty bread. It’s a popular Argentinian street food. The dinner menu offers the nine-ounce grilled prime vacio with chimichurri as an entree and the traditional panqueque de dulce de leche for dessert.
Sofia Design District has created a striking culinary scene with its stunning pink decor and high-end Italian cuisine. Delight in a luxurious Sunday brunch featuring cacio e pepe uova strapazzate – scrambled eggs with black pepper, truffle and burrata. For dinner, the butcher’s bistecca, a filet served with crispy potato and taleggio fonduta, dazzles the palate, while the tiramisu, with mascarpone and espresso semifreddo, offers a sweet finish. The enchanting atmosphere is enhanced by a curated collection of contemporary art and glamorous touches like glass chandeliers and portraits of Hollywood icons, making Sofia a must-visit destination in the Miami Design District.
Comfort food has found its home at Blue Collar in the historic MiMo district on Miami’s Upper East Side. The motto here is simple: serve food people love. During Miami Spice, the restaurant offers its regular menu, letting diners choose an appetizer, entree and dessert for brunch, lunch and dinner. Enjoy morning favorites like jalapeño cornbread with chili brown butter or brisket benedict on a Portuguese muffin. The dry-aged cheeseburger, made from prime New York strip, is a lunch staple, while the spicy oxtail is a hearty, must-try dinner option. Don't miss the homemade cake with Valrhona chocolate – you may want to order an extra slice to take home.
Reunion Ktchn Bar in Aventura redefines global cuisine, seamlessly blending Peruvian, Cuban, Mediterranean and Japanese influences into a single, innovative menu. This neighborhood favorite inspires with creative offerings such as truffle-shiitake croquettes, Moroccan pastilla chicken phyllo pie and classic French escargot. Brunch is a noteworthy experience, presenting toast-centric selections like crispy kale scrambled eggs, wild mushroom blend toast with goat cheese, and lolo matcha French toast, celebrating the best of breakfast and lunch. Complement your meal with culinary cocktails inspired by the regular menu, including the black truffle Old Fashioned and coconut pistachio Mai Tai.
The Doral dining scene is evolving, with popular restaurants like Marfil Bistro. More than a restaurant, it offers a trifecta of experiences – a relaxed cafe, an intimate bistro and a sophisticated lounge. Yet, it’s the artistry on the plate that truly impresses. The Miami Spice menu includes a weekend brunch that blends sweet and savory flavors. Weekday menus celebrate Mediterranean fusion, featuring lunch options like lamb croquettes with mint-chipotle sauce and a luxurious lamb burger topped with goat cheese and caramelized onions. At dinner, savor the octopus carpaccio or the scallop linguine in a zesty lemon-caper sauce, and finish with a delectable pistachio tiramisu.
Cèrto in Coral Gables is certainly a neighborhood gem. Owner Giovanni Astudillo brings his vision to life here, honoring authentic Italian cuisine with plentiful options. A perennial favorite across brunch, lunch and dinner is the fiocchi alla gorgonzola con funghi. This purse-shaped pasta is filled with pear and ricotta and enveloped in gorgonzola sauce. Dinner selections include the risotto con funghi olio di Tartufo, a rice dish with mushrooms and truffle oil, or the ossobuco de agnello, a slow-braised New Zealand lamb shank that is fork-tender and bursting with flavor. No Italian meal is complete without dessert. Indulge in tiramisu, or you can opt for a Moscato dessert wine.
Inspired by classic Italian trattorias, North Italia at Dadeland Mall in Kendall offers a modern take on Italian cuisine, all handmade from scratch. Perfect for a pre- or post-shopping interlude, laid-back charm meets deliciousness at this spot. Highlights include the Bolognese and the crushed meatball ragu, where tender bucatini noodles swim in a rich tomato sauce topped with a shower of pecorino. On weekends, feast on the breakfast carbonara with lumache pasta and crispy pancetta. For a fragrant dessert, the lemon olive oil cake with lemon curd and blueberry compote is a standout – it’s truly irresistible.
