Miami Beach Bandshell
Arts & Culture
Located beachside in the North Shore Historic District, Miami Beach Bandshell is an open-air amphitheater known for its consistent lineup of international and local musicians.
Managed by Rhythm Foundation since 2015, the Bandshell has welcomed diverse acts from all over the world and has also hosted music festivals such as GroundUp Music Festival and community gatherings such as North Beach Social every third Thursday of the month. In 2016, it received recognition as "Best Venue" from New Times Best of Miami. Since its construction in 1961, The Bandshell has brought the community together as a gathering place for cultural events and live entertainment.
From Big Band shows to the seasonal Mike Douglas Show tapings to a roller skating rink, the venue has undergone various transformations and was restored to its original glory in 2011. Renovation efforts have been ongoing with further enhancements to the adjacent Bandshell Park, which features domino pavilions and a glass tile mandala art installation.
The Bandshell is conveniently located off of Collins Avenue with municipal parking available at 73rd Street and Collins (free after 6pm). Food and drinks are offered once inside the bandshell property, no outside food or drink is allowed. The space accommodates 1,350 general admission or 800 reserved seat concertgoers (500 catered seating) and is available for performance/event rental.
